Rev. Wright's son to take over church

NEW YORK Family spokesman Will Bogle says 30-year-old David Wright will become leader of the Grace Tabernacle Christian Center Church of God in Christ during a service Sunday afternoon.

The Rev. Timothy Wright died in April. He was paralyzed from the neck down following a July 2008 car crash in Pennsylvania that killed his wife and grandson.

The 61-year-old Wright - known as the "Godfather of Gospel" - received a Grammy nomination for his 1994 album "Come Thou Almighty King."

He started the church nearly 20 years ago.

The spokesman says David Wright was the church's minister of music.
