Straphangers release subway grades

Rate your ride on the New York City subway. The straphangers campaign released its report on the best and worst trains in the system.

Overall, the 7-train scored the best when it came to performance, cleanliness and the ability to get a seat.

The C train ranked worst.

The report also shows a disturbing 10 percent increase in the breakdown rate of trains.

The N train had the best maintenance record.

The C train had the worst.

Subway announcements are getting better, 90-percent of riders say they are understandable and accurate.

The 2, 5, 6, and M trains received perfect scores for "in-car announcements."

Another improvement is 91-percent of riders now say the subways are cleaner, for the most part.

The L train came out on top.
