Fishermen rescued after engine fire

OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY A Coast Guard cutter quickly moved in to put out the flames from an engine fire on board the 80-foot scallop boat from South Carolina.

The men were saved from their life boat by a nearby fishing vessel who heard their distress call about 20 miles outside Barnegat Light. There's no word yet on the cause of the fire now under investigation.

The boat could not be saved.
