Scorned wife scalds husband's genitals

QUEENS Police say 67-year-old Oyindamola Ojofeitimi dumped a pot of scalding water on her husband, 67-year-old Emmanuel, while he slept at around 6 a.m.

The Queens nurse is now charged with assault and harassment.

"I was in bed, I was fast asleep," Emmanuel told the New York Post. "She came into the bedroom and poured hot water all over me...I didn't know what had happened. By the time I woke up, the skin was falling off."

Oyindamola apparently regretted the attack and tried to treat the burns with cold compresses, but the damage had already been done. Emmanuel, also a nurse, suffered second- and third-degree burns over 30 percent of his body, from his knees to his abdomen.

"She was hurt and angry that after all this time married, he was stepping out on her," a police source told the New York Daily News. "She wanted to shut down that possibility forever because he had treated her with such contempt."

The couple has been married for 21 years and has four grown children together. Emmanuel reportedly admits the affair, but says his wife refuses to let the issue go.

"She does not know how to forgive and forget; she doesn't let anything go by," Emmanuel told the Post. "If I come home late from work, she's always assuming that I'm with a woman."

"I will file for divorce," he added to the newspaper. "But I don't want her in jail."
