No suspects in LI triple murder, fire

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY Police still have little to go on but have confirmed all three of the victims identities and say they can finally confirm the two children who escaped the gunshots and fire did belong to one of the victims.

A 28-year-old woman who was here visiting her sister with a friend.

Family members in insurmountable pain can't understand who would burn a house to the ground to cover up shooting and killing 3 people. Wednesday, the father of one of the victims spoke to Eyewitness News saying his 19-year-old son Louis Calixto had a good life ahead-studying to be a mechanic.

"Louis was a good kid. He had a few traffic violations that's it, he was no problem," the father said.

Police identify the second victim as Katrice Daniels, a 31-year-old woman who was renting the house that burned down.

A friend who asked not to be identified says he spent a lot of time with Katrice, until recently when she stopped returning his calls.

"I guess if she was going through something personal she never let me know. In a sense maybe she was protecting me but in another sense it kind of upsets me," said the friend.

Police identified the third victim today as Katrice's sister Mykier Daniels.

She lived in a half-way house in Wyandanch with her 6-year-old son and 2-year old-daughter. Police say on their own the children escaped the killer, and tremendous fire, as they were found waiting outside their aunts house at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, as fire crews responded to 911 calls.

Detectives were back on the scene Wednesday and say they do not have any suspects and have not released a motive.

Anyone with information is urged to call police.
