The officers found two 21-year-old men behind a building with gunshot wounds.
Police say one of the men had gunshot wounds to his head and torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his groin. He remained in the hospital in stable condition Saturday night.
Police haven't released the men's identities.
They offered no possible motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made.
