Cop cars collide injuring 4 officers

Four police officers were hurt when two patrol cars collided on the Upper West Side.The vehicles crashed at the intersection of West 72nd Street and West End Avenue just after 2 a.m.

Four police officers, assigned to the 20 Precinct, were taken to St. Lukes with neck and back injuries.

Their injuries were described as minor.

The police officers were all responding to a stabbing at a nearby Staples store on West 80th Street when their patrol cars collided.

One person was taken into custody in the stabbing.
