1 winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Bronx

NEW YORK A convenience store not far from Fordham University sold one of two winning tickets this week for the $333 million jackpot in the Mega Millions lottery game.

State lottery officials don't know who the winner is yet, and won't until at least Monday. That's when lottery customer service centers reopen and the earliest the person might come forward.

The New York winner's share of the jackpot is $166.5 million before taxes.

Lottery officials say the person who bought the ticket let a computer randomly pick the numbers. They also elected to receive the money in payouts over time, rather than a reduced lump sum.

The other winning ticket was sold in California.

The winning numbers are:

37-1-17-31-54
Mega Ball 31

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays, and you can see them on Channel 7 right before Eyewitness News at 11.
