Northern Manhattan's 181st Street subway station, which was closed when a portion of the brick ceiling facade fell on the roadbed, reopened on Monday in time for the morning rush hour. Train service on the No. 1 line had been bypassing the Washington Heights station since Aug. 16. Transit officials say riders should be mindful of limited space on the platform due to scaffolding.
