September 1, 2009 7:53:30 PM PDT
Police are searching for a thief who made off with a musician's pricey flugelhorn. The theft occurred when the musician fell asleep on a New York City subway train on Monday.

The 29-year-old says he got on the N train at the 57th Street Station and nodded off.

When he awoke as he approached the last stop, the Ditmars Boulevard station, he noticed his black leather case was missing.

Police say the case held the curvy, Swiss-made horn and a Bach Stradivarius trumpet. The flugelhorn retails for more than $5,000, the trumpet for about $2,000.
