A 17-year-old who tried to fight back was shot in the leg and hip early Wednesday. The victim was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.
Police say the teen was talking with his cousin just after 1 a.m. when two men approached and demanded cell phones and cash. The victim was shot after punching one of the robbers.
Around 2 a.m., five men were held up in a Dunkin Donuts parking lot. The pair got away with phones and money.
In both robberies, the suspects fled in an older model Lincoln.
The other shooting incident occurred Sunday, when an 18-year-old was shot in the groin after refusing to hand over his property. The victim was walking with two friends around 1:30 a.m.
