Taxi catches on fire near Times Square

NEW YORK Fire Department officials say the cab was sitting on the corner of 53rd St. and Seventh Ave. shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday when it suddenly burst into flames.

Firefighters rushed to the scene minutes later and put out the fire.

There are no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
