Armed robbery suspect shot by police

BROOKLYN It started when a bandit tried to rob a 16-year-old boy at gunpoint on Ralph Avenue at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.

The boy took off and ran into a deli for help. That's when police were called.

Within ten minutes, officers canvassing the area spotted the suspect at Marion Street and Howard Avenue.

Police said as the officers approached, he pulled out a Glock 10mm.

One of the officers fired two rounds, striking the suspect in the torso. He was taken to Kings County Hospital where he remained in stable condition on Friday.

Police identified the suspect as Robert Davis, 22, of Brooklyn. He was charged with robbery and weapons offenses.
