Two men are dead and two others are hurt after a shooting that brought a violent end to an all-night Brooklyn barbecue meant to celebrate the West Indian Day parade. The shots were fired at around 5:45 a.m. Monday in the Brownsville neighborhood.

Friends identified one of the victims as 25-year-old construction worker Marvin Brown. Police say that the other person killed was 26-year-old David Harris, who was visiting from Canada.

A third man was shot in the leg and hospitalized in stable condition, and a fourth man was punched in the face and not seriously hurt.

Brown's girlfriend Renee Brady tells the Daily News he must not have been an intended target. She says he advocated nonviolence.
