September 7, 2009 12:49:39 PM PDT
On Long Island, the first woman elected as town supervisor of Southampton has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk. Police say 41-year-old Linda Kabot was stopped after she crossed the double yellow line on Main Street in Westhampton Beach early Monday morning.

Police say she failed multiple field sobriety tests and then refused to submit to a blood test.

Kabot is free on bail.

She was first elected Southampton's town supervisor in 2007 and is seeking re-election in November.
