Owner of service station shot dead

WESTCHESTER Detective Sgt. Frank Pumillo says a mechanic found 44-year-old Anthony Fizzinoglia dead Saturday morning inside his Lukoil service station in Greenburgh.

Pumillo says robbery is not believed to be the motive. He says the business closes at 11 p.m. and the shooting happened overnight.

The service station is a short walk from both the local firehouse and Greenburgh police headquarters.

Benny Goodman, a self-employed mechanic who lives nearby, says Fizzinoglia owned the business and rarely worked after 5 p.m.
