Quiet zones for Staten Island ferries

NEW YORK State Senator Diane Savino pushed for the creation of a "quiet deck" aboard the Staten Island Ferry after reviewing legal issues surrounding free speech, the Department of Transportation agreed to adopt the deck.

There are already similar quiet areas aboard the Long Island Rail Road and Amtrak trains.
