Fatal hit and run in Eisenhower Park

A pedestrian was killed in an apparent hit and run on a popular road in Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. Eyewitness News is told the victim, a man in his 20s, was hit on Park Boulevard, which runs through the county park.

Police say his body was discovered partially in the roadway at around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.

He was pronounced dead at Nassau University Medical Center.

Police said he was the apparent victim of a hit and run vehicle that left the scene.

Nassau police asked anyone who knows the identity of the victim or the driver to call 800-244-TIPS.
