Assistant principal charged with DUI

NEW YORK At approximately 6:40 a.m. Thursday, police say Lendor was traveling southbound on I-87 in Rockland County when her erratic driving attracted the attention of another motorist. That motorist reported his observations via cell phone to 911 so that responding New York State Police Troopers could locate the vehicle.

The motorist followed Lendor's vehicle as it approached the area of exit 13, near the Palisades Parkway Interchange.

At this point, traffic slowed and both motorists pulled onto the shoulder and stopped. New York State Police troopers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation.

They determined that Lendor was intoxicated, and found her infant son in the car with her. The child was turned over to a relative.

Lendor was charged with felony driving while Intoxicated, and had been previously convicted of two prior alcohol-related driving offenses. She was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
