Alleged drunk driver pulled over on Taconic

MOUNT PLEASANT, New York State police say Henry Garcia of Ossining was traveling south on the northbound lanes of Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant early Thursday.

They say Garcia's blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.

He was charged with aggravated drunken driving. Garcia, who's 19, was awaiting arraignment, and the town court did not have a lawyer's name for him.

In July, Diane Schuler of West Babylon killed herself and seven others on the Taconic. She was found to be drunk and high.

Last week, a Bronx man was charged with DWI after police said he was driving the wrong way.
