An NYPD officer is facing charges after a deadly drunk driving accident in Brooklyn.Investigators said the officer was arrested after striking and killing a 33-year-old pastor's daughter, who was crossing the street.

The accident happened just after 1 a.m. at East 56th Street and Avenue N.

The victim was identified as Vionique Valnord, of Brooklyn. She was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said the 30-year-old officer, Andrew Kelly, was off-duty. He is assigned to the 68th Precinct in Bay Ridge.

Kelly was charged with vehicular manslaughter and DWI.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says officers who responded to the accident reported smelling alcohol on the driver's breath.

Several other passengers were in the officer's SUV, including at least one other off-duty officer. Police say that officer is being questioned.
