Paterson officials rethink curfew

PATERSON, N.J. But the proposed ordinance would apply only to juveniles and not adults.

Support for an all-inclusive curfew fell apart a few weeks ago amid concerns that it might violate constitutional rights and be ineffective for crime-fighting.

The city council is set to discuss a recent wave of violence at a special meeting Tuesday.

Twelve people have been killed so far this year in New Jersey's third largest city.

The most recent homicide victim was 22-year-old U.S. Navy veteran Frank Wilborn. He was shot in a robbery of his girlfriend's home early Saturday morning.
