Chuck Knoblauch accused of domestic violence

HOUSTON A judge gave Edward Charles Knoblauch, also known as Chuck Knoblauch, a $10,000 bond and a no-contact order with his wife, Stacey Victoria Stelmach. According to the complaint, the incident happened this past Friday at Stelmach's Memorial Villages home.

The prosecutor said in court that Knoblauch had been drinking and got into an altercation with Stelmach. He is accused of hitting her in the face and choking her.

Knoblauch, 41, was arrested by Memorial Villages police and is expected to be bonded out by his attorney.

Stelmach and Knoblauch apparently have a five-year-old child together.

Knoblauch has no prior criminal history. The judge also ordered no drugs or alcohol as a condition of his bond.

Knoblauch played major league baseball for the Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees before finishing his career with the Kansas City Royals in 2002.
