An employee showed me the alley where the suspects probably broke in.
Surveillance cameras, which at times captured clear views of their faces, tracked them inside the office and then making off with the safe and several cases on alcohol.
Other business owners here in Washington Heights believe the same gang has struck four times in the last week.
"They come into the establishments, walk around, watch where the video cameras are, where entrances are. How easy they can get in and get out," one owner told us.
Their point of entry at La Nueva Espana on St. Nicolas Avenue was the ceiling.
The suspects cut a whole in the ceiling above a door, climbed through, entered the dining room and then headed upstairs to the office.
Once there, they couldn't kick down the door, but they did get in.
They cut another hole in the wall and squeezed through the small opening.
As in the other break-ins, they ransacked the office and made off with the safe, containing 10-thousand dollars.
There are cameras in place, but they weren't working at the time. They are now.
Other business owners are also beefing up their security systems.
Many believe that's how police will eventually catch these men, using surveillance tape.
One owner said in the end you can run but you can't hide.
