Hartford police are waiting to learn the cause of death of a man whose body was discovered at a recycling plant found near cardboard boxes. Police are trying to determine who the man was and how he died.

They say he was not an employee of the plant.

Authorities were called to All Waste Inc., a rubbish, trash removal and recycling facility on Murphy Road, shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday on a report of a suspicious person. The body was discovered in the receiving area of the recycling plant among numerous boxes.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington, where an autopsy will take place.
