According to police, the victim was walking when she was approached at the corner of Bristol Avenue and Pitkin Avenue by the suspect who was riding a red and silver mountain bike.
The suspect pointed a firearm at the victim, removed cash and a cell phone and forced her to follow him into Chester Playground, located a block away at Chester Street and Pitkin Avenue. He sexually assaulted her and fled the scene, police said.
The victim was treated at an area hospital.
The suspect is described as a a black man in his late 20's, 5'10" to 6'0' tall, and 160-185 pounds. He was wearing a Black leather jacket, gray sweat suit and white sneakers.
