The woman was struck in the back. She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition. She died a short time later.
She was later identified by police as Sadie Mitchell.
Witnesses told Eyewitness News that a large group of kids was fighting outside the home right before the fatal shot was fired.
Police have not made any arrests.
