SPCA officials are offering a $1,000 reward for information about a decapitated goat found in a wooded area on Long Island. The carcass of the headless goat was found on Saturday inside a plastic trash bag about 100 feet into a wooded area in an Islip neighborhood.

Suffolk SPCA chief Roy Gross says additional evidence was found at the scene but he declined to elaborate.

The SPCA is offering $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing the goat.
