Weather hampers search for plane

HAVERSTRAW Bad weather grounded helicopter searches on Tuesday.

Crews searched six square miles of the park in Haverstraw on the ground.

That's where witnesses say they saw a plume of smoke coming from a small plane at 6:30 on Monday night.

The FAA says an aircraft did go off radar, but it could have just been flying low.

There are no planes reported missing and so far no signs of any aircraft.
