Two rapes reported in Queens

The first attack happened on Tuesday at 3:30 a.m. Police say a 25-year-old woman got off an A train at Beach 67th Street. She was followed by a suspect who flashed a gun and told her to obey or he would kill her. He forced the woman to an alley behind the Macedonia Baptist Church and raped her, investigators said.

The second attack happned on Wednesday morning at 5:30. Police say a 21-year-old woman was walking to a bus stop when a man wearing a green hoodie and a black bandana covering his face grabbed her. She was forced to the sixth floor landing of a housing complex and raped.

Police believe both rapes were committed by the same man. They described the suspect as having a pop mark face.

Additional foot patrols as well as undercover detectives are being sent to the Arverne section of the Rockaways.
