Central Park robberies spark concern

NEW YORK Police are looking for two suspects wanted for robbing three men at gunpoint early Sunday morning.

It happened near 102nd street and the East Drive.

Police say two men were approached by suspects holding guns. A third person, walking by, was then allegedly robbed by the same three suspects.

The crime and two others in the past 10 days are unnerving people who thought this part of the park was safe at night.

On November 2, a 62-year-old man was the target of a mugging, when two robbers allegedly took a Blackberry, a wallet, $100 in cash and his driver's license. In that case, the gunmen are described as white and Asian.

On October 29, a 21-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in the park. Police describe those suspects as black males.

Police say the crimes do not appear to be connected.
