100 firefighters tackle Midtown fire

MIDTOWN Eyewitness News is told the fire broke out on the third floor of the warehouse on West 39th Street just before 3:30 a.m.

It reportedly took more than 100 firefighters more than an hour to find the fire and put out the flames.

Smoke spread through the entire 16-story building.

Officials say three firefighters were treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshal.

West 39th Street was closed at Eighth Avenue for the fire investigation.
