According to a woman that works there, the girl was crossing the street with her mother and brother when she was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Another witness said the girl was thrown 20 yards in the air, landing underneath a parked car. He called the vehicle a van or an SUV.
Police were looking for a white four door pick up truck. Investigators believe the vehicle will have damage.
