He apparently stumbled across the street to the Red Hook East Houses, where he collapsed.
Officials say he was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. No arrests were immediately made.

Eyewitness News is told the boy was shot once in the chest outside the 24 hour grocery store, at the intersection of Mill and Henry streets, at around 12:20 a.m.
