2 more charged in UConn stabbing case

STORRS, Conn. UConn police on Thursday charged 22-year-old Rahim Muhammad, of Bloomfield, with hindering prosecution, tampering with evidence and interfering with police. Police say he moved or concealed evidence but would not elaborate.

Twenty-two-year-old Hadiyah Vanover, of Windsor, has been charged with tampering with a witness and interfering with police.

He allegedly tried to coerce at least one witness into not cooperating.

It's unclear if Muhammad and Vanover have lawyers.

Eight people have now been arrested in connection with the Oct.

18 stabbing.

Also Friday, a case involving 18-year-old De'quan Muhammad, 18, who was accused of hindering prosecution, interfering with police and other charges, was continued until Jan. 8.
