Union County Prosecutor Theodore Romankow said Monday that three
arrests took place over the weekend in Philadelphia and Alexandria,
Va. A fourth suspect was already in custody at the Essex County
Jail. Charges include felony murder, kidnapping, robbery and arson.
The body of Tanya Worthy of Green Brook was found Oct. 28, 2008,
in her BMW convertible after police received a report of a car
fire.
Romankow said the Union County Homicide Task Force determined
that Worthy knew the defendants and was targeted because she was
carrying money obtained from criminal activity.
