High school dismisses early due to threat

BEDFORD, New York Sources tell Eyewitness News that there was an internet conversation that was intercepted by officials in the Bedford Central school district.

That threat referred to killing some kids at the school.

The threat didn't say how.

So as a result, Fox Lane High School began dismissing students at 10:45 a.m.

Fox Lane Middle School was placed on lock out mode, which means nobody could come in or out of the campus. Students remained there for the entire school day.

The Bedford Police Dept is asking anyone with information that could assist in this investigation to please contact the Bedford Detectives at 914-241-3111

School will be opened on Friday with more police on scene.
