In Harlem, at the National Action Network, kids got to enjoy their Christmas presents. The presents weren't from Santa, but rather, from Governor Paterson and the Reverend Al Sharpton.

"Christmas is not a day about what you get, it's about what you give," explained Sharpton.

"Feeding and clothing to those who have less is something I think people regardless of their religion can embrace," said Governor David Paterson.

The National Action Network was packed like never before.

It was a touch year economically, making this holiday season even tougher.

In Brooklyn, at the YMCA in Park Slope, for the 20th time, hundreds of volunteers are feeding and clothing thousands of people.

"We usually have a lull mid-day, but today we had a steady stream all day starting at 10:30 this morning," said volunteer, Lee Perlman.

The much needed help was much appreciated. People were able to get coats, gloves, food, and toys for their children.
