Back to normal for NJ school after alleged school threat

BELLEVILLE Four high school students in New Jersey were arrested and charged with making terroristic threats.

Authorities say the four students, who attend Belleville High School, were talking about blowing up the school over the Internet. The school was evacuated and dogs searched the area, but nothing was found.

The four students, three girls and one boy, were being held at the Belleville Police Department and are also charged with creating a false public alarm and conspiracy.

The mother of one student told Eyewitness News that her daughter read on Facebook that the students were posting they were going to blow up the school. Police were searching the homes of the students, and reportedly confiscated some computers and cell phones.

The students apparently claim the 2 a.m. Facebook conversation was a prank, and at least one of the students suggested during the conversation that what they were doing was not smart.

The four teens were taken to juvenile court with their parents.
