Gov. Paterson's son questioned by police

NEW YORK The governor's wife and their son, Alex Paterson, walked out of the precinct on the Upper West Side late Tuesday.

Paterson and another teen were questioned by the police after they were allegedly caught in a dice game on the street with several other boys.

A stolen debit card was allegedly found in Paterson's possession.

The father of the other teen who was questioned says the boys were not causing any problems.

Paterson is a freshman at Beacon High School on the Upper West Side.

Both boys were given juvenile reports for loitering.

Paterson's office issued a brief statement requesting privacy during what the governor called a "personal time."
