Two NYPD patrolmen have been suspended after being accused of punching a handcuffed suspect - a beating caught on videotape. Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly confirmed a report Thursday that officers John Cicero and William Green had been suspended and were under investigation by the Bronx District Attorney's office.

Kelly said two sergeants also were suspended. The department didn't release their names.

The video shows Jonathan Baez face down on the ground in handcuffs following an undercover drug operation in the Bronx on Jan. 5. Two officers are seen leaning down and punching him as other officers mill about.

A defense lawyer says charges against Baez were dismissed.

A police union spokesman declined comment.
