OFFICIAL RULES
I. NAME OF SPONSOR(S)
WABC-TV, ABC-7, its licensee American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., and Raymour and Flanigan. (Hereinafter referred to as "Sponsor").
II. ELIGIBILITY
Only open to legal residents of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut who are at least 18 years of age and have Internet access as of February 1, 2010.
Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for WABC-TV, Raymour and Flanigan, or any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the sweepstakes or supplying the prize, and their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or play. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.
III. HOW AND WHEN TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Between February 1, 2010 and February 5, 2010, WABC-TV viewers will be encouraged to visit www.7online.com to register for ABC-7''s "Wheel of Fortune New York Salute Week " Sweepstakes. Entrants register for the sweepstakes by entering the correct bonus puzzle solution and submitting the online registration form including name, home address, e-mail address, telephone number, birth date, and gender.
Entries remain the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.
One entry per e-mail address per day (7:46pm to 7:45pm).
Sponsor is not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute over an electronic entry, prize will be awarded to the owner of the e-mail account, not the name on the entry form.
IV. HOW AND WHEN WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED AND NOTIFIED
All entries must be received by WABC-TV by 7:45 PM, EST, Saturday, February 6, 2009. Five (5) winners will be selected in a random drawing. The random drawings will be held on or about, February 10, 2009 from all eligible entries received by WABC-TV. By participating, entrants agree to the Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
WABC-TV will attempt to notify the winner by telephone and/or e-mail the same day of the drawing. If WABC-TV is unable to notify the winner by telephone or if the email is returned undeliverable within 72 hours from the drawing, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Notification calls and/or emails will be made during normal business hours at the daytime phone number given at time of entry.
Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Indemnification within 72 hours using the provided overnight delivery service envelope paid for by WABC-TV by the date printed on the prize notification. In the event of noncompliance with these requirements, or if prize notification is returned as undeliverable, winner may be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected, time permitting.
If guest(s) is/are a minor, he/she may only accompany his/her/their parent/legal guardian (i.e., the winner).
In the event winner is deemed ineligible, does not timely respond to winner notification, fails to comply with sweepstakes procedures, or is not available to claim prize during specified dates, then an alternate winner may be selected at random, time permitting.
Odds of winning depend on number of valid entries received.
V. PRIZE(S)
Five (5) grand prize winners will receive:
• Two (2) roundtrip airfare from New York to Los Angeles
• Four (4) night stay in hotel accommodations at the Beverly Hilton
• $1,000 Spending Cash
• One (1) Wheel of Fortune Contestant audition in Los Angeles
• Sony Studio Tour
• Wheel of Fortune Taping
• Two (2) Wheel of Fortune Gift Bags
Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize package is $3,792
All expenses not specifically provided for herein are the winner's sole responsibility. Some restrictions may apply.
In order to attend show taping and audition for a chance to be on Wheel of Fortune, each winner must travel during the show's production schedule and on dates selected by Wheel of Fortune at its sole discretion. Wheel of Fortune may choose which show taping winner will attend at its sole discretion subject to availability and production exigencies. If a winner cannot take trip prize in conjunction with show taping, he/she has one year from first date of notification of winning to take trip without the opportunity to attend the taping or audition (subject to air travel availability, hotel availability and black-out dates).
AN AUDITION FOR WHEEL OF FORTUNE DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN APPEARANCE ON THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE SHOW. A WINNER'S OPPORTUNITY TO AUDITION FOR WHEEL OF FORTUNE AND ANY SUBSEQUENT APPEARANCE ON THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE SHOW ARE SUBJECT TO PRODUCER'S REQUIREMENTS AND SOLE DISCRETION. PRIOR TO AUDITION, EACH WINNER WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN PRODUCER'S FULL STANDARD RELEASE AND TO SUBMIT TO PRODUCER'S STANDARD INTERVIEW AND SCREENING PROCESS AND TO PROVIDE ANY OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION. IF A WINNER PASSES THE AUDITION AND IS ASKED TO BE A CONTESTANT, SUCH WINNER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH BEING A CONTESTANT ON WHEEL OF FORTUNE. (E.G., RT TRAVEL TO LOS ANGELES FOR SHOW TAPING WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE AT A LATER DATE).
Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner, who will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.
Winners are not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsor in its sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
Prize is subject to availability. Sponsor is not responsible for cancellation or preemption of show or for other circumstances that make it impractical or impossible to fulfill this element of the prize. This element of the prize has no approximate retail value, and if it becomes impractical or impossible to fulfill this element, Sponsor's only obligation will be to provide the remainder, if any, of prize.
VI. RELEASES
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsor/Judges and the sweepstakes administrator, which shall be final in all respects.
By participating in this sweepstakes and accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release WABC-TV, and Raymour and Flanigan, and their licensees, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties ") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of the prize.
Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner's list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor's sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.
To claim prize: (a) winner may be required to provide proof of age, identity and residency; (b) winner must sign and return affidavit of eligibility/compliance with rules, publicity/liability release and indemnification; and (c) winner's intended guest(s) or travel companion(s), if any, must sign liability/publicity release, all within the time period specified by Sponsor.
VII. MISCELLANEOUS; WINNERS' LIST
Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the contest in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the contest as originally planned.
