Authorities have identified two men shot dead outside a Jersey City apartment building on Tuesday morning. The victims were shot execution style along Woodlawn Avenue just before 4 a.m.

Witnesses say they heard at least four shots.

When police arrived they found the two men laying face down on the sidewalk, next to a parked SUV, with gunshot wounds to head.

The victims were identified as Lester Thompson, 26, and Malique Richardson, 17, of Jersey City.

One of the suspects is described as being 6-feet tall, wearing a black jacket, jeans and dark shoes. He also had dreadlocks under a baseball cap.

As for the second suspect, he's described as being shorter than the first. He was wearing a brown or beige bomber-style hat with ear flaps.

Authorities said both victims were known to law enforcement, but could not elaborate because one is a minor.

Investigators said the attack was not random. The victims were targeted by their killers.
