Two pit bulls attack woman in Bronx

BRONX Martin is a marketing rep and the mother of 11-year old twins. She was attacked around 8:30 a.m. on Watson Avenue in the Soundview section of the Bronx.

The dog's owner was inside a deli, the same one where Martin was headed for a morning cup of coffee.

The animals were tied up to a pole. When she approached, they somehow broke free and attacked.

A witness, who didn't want to be identified, says the owner hit the dogs until they finally let go. Then the owner and the dogs simply walked away before police arrived.

Police are investigating, trying to track down the owner of the dogs.

Martin was scheduled to undergo surgery after the attack that will leave physical and emotional scars.
