Tri-State faces wet commute from snowstorm

NEW JERSEY The major highways are clear, but motorists may find slippery conditions on local streets.

Accumulations range from a trace in Atlantic City to 2 inches in Edison.

Forecasters say snow is likely to return across the region Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service says another inch of snow is possible, especially around the Interstate 195 corridor.

Forecasters also say northwest New Jersey could see the highest amounts, while the New York City area and Long Island aren't expected to see much accumulation.

Nassau and Suffolk counties will see a few inches, just enough to slow down the commute.

The good news in New Jersey is that most schools are already closed this week for break.
