A fourth alarm fire tore through a SoHo loft building, collapsing an interior floor as firefighters battled the blaze. The fire broke out inside 82 Greene Street just before 4 a.m. this morning and quickly spread through the structure.

The second floor of the structure collapsed into the first, but no firefighters were injured.

Residents were rousted from their loft apartments by the flames, but none were injured. Three families were left homeless.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
