The victim was removed by Spring Hill Ambulance Corp to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern where the victim was pronounced dead.
The police located a person of interest who is being questioned at the Village of Spring Valley Police Station.
Witnesses at the scene say police followed a blood trail in the snow to the location of the person of interest who was taken into custody at a location on Stewart Avenue.
