Pedestrians stuck by car on UES sidewalk

NEW YORK Witnesses say an unmarked police cruiser with lights on approached the intersection of 86th and 2nd.

Somehow that car lost control, hit a livery cab and hit a group of people on the side walk around 10 a.m.

Three of the pedestrians were MTA employees, working on the nearby Second Avenue Subway project.

A fourth person, a pedestrian, was also struck.

All four were taken to Lenox Hill Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Three NYPD officers, believed to be in the unmarked vehicle at the time of the crash, were also hospitalized.

They were taken to NYU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
