A short time later, 33-year-old Melissa Woods was driving south on Woodbury Road in her 2007 Toyota Solara and approached the crash. Woods was unable to stop and her vehicle struck Licursi's overturned Honda and then struck the unoccupied Lincoln Aviator.
Licursi, 24, of Cape Coral, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The passenger in Woods' vehicle was treated and released from Huntington Hospital for minor injuries to her back and shoulder.
Detectives charged Woods with driving while intoxicated.
