Family pushes for return of teen stuck in Chile

LIVINGSTON One of those Americans is a high school student from New Jersey who was studying abroad. Now, the young man is stuck in Chile and unable to get home.

He's in the Chilean town of Los Angeles. And his family is fighting for his safe return.

Sixteen-year-old Zachary Kessler speaks to his family via Skype right now. It has been the best line of communication and connection since the earthquake in Chile five days ago.

Mom Marci wants Zack home as soon as possible. The high school sophomore was looking forward to new experiences in Chile, but now is just thankful he wasn't hurt in the quake, and that the home where he stays still stands. It is a measure of comfort for his family in Livingston, New Jersey. They'll have the full measure, though, when he is finally home.

Marci is still waiting for someone to give her an exact date on when Zack can fly home. For now, the state department can only say it should be in a few weeks.
